Description

So after a long time, I finally submitted another one of these :XD:

This is most likely going to be my ID for now :XD:

Luna (The human) is the first character I ever designed, but as some people think using the elements and being a trainer is Mary-Sue like, I haven't really used her. Still, because I was in love with the character design, I decided to create a new character instead of changing Luna, so that's where Selena came from. But the original Luna, which is human, can use the elements. Obviously, she can't kill the whole earth or something, but it goes more along the lines of Avatar/Aang. When the elements (those being Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Electricity and Spirit) as well as its derivatives (Ice, Rock, Ground, etc.) combine, they create Light. The logic I used behind this was:

:bulletred: Fire
:bulletorange: Electricity
:bulletyellow: Air                                         = :bulletwhite: Light
:bulletgreen: Earth
:bulletblue: Water
:bulletpurple: Spirit

Now for those who've done Physics or Astronomy (I think this is in Chemistry or Biology too, I don't know), you would know that the colour spectrum of ROYGBIV makes White. Generally, one associates White with Light and/or Good and Black with Darkness and/or Evil. Therefore, when these elements combine, they make up either Light or Darkness, and the two are equally as strong/the strongest.

Much like in Avatar, the elements' power is drawn from emotions. Raw emotion (such as blind rage) equals sheer power; a lack of emotion doesn't create more than a flicker. In Luna's case, her elements, much like in real life, can also draw power from the moon, but only during a full moon. She loses power during a New Moon.

Luna can and does use Light(part of the reason why she's called a Guardian), but it's very rare, as Light and/or Darkness are very strong and "too much of a good thing can be bad", to quote my Dad and whoever else said this quote. Most of the time, it's one single element she uses, but when her emotions get the better of her (generally only happens with anger), she will use Light, much like how Aang goes into his avatar state or whatever when he gets super pissed. However, like Aang, post-Light State she becomes very weak and may or may not slip into unconsciousness, depending on how much sheer power was actually used. Though very slow and gradual, the more she uses Light is the more damage internally her body takes as well, and a loss in control can prove to be fatal if the power is strong enough.

As I loved and still love the elements, Luna has still held a close place in my heart, and she and the Gardevoir Luna (My Pokésona) are the closest representation of me. Though I can't use any elements (obviously), I think it'd be epic to, and I love the moon and how it's tied in with the elements. She is not only a guardian of the elements, but also of loved ones, which is what I strive to be for my loved ones. She is also a trainer because I (obviously) love Pokémon, and really...who wouldn't want to be a PKMN trainer?! :XD:

I won't use her for any of the big OCTs I've entered(that's what Selena is for since she's only a Psychic user), but I may revive her to be more than my "mascot" so to speak, so stay tuned for that~

As for the team, well...

Luna - As stated earlier, Luna is my Pokésona. A Gardevoir guards those it loves with its life, heck part of its name is french for Guard!! I freaked out for months wondering (and hoping) if Gardes would have Moonblast in their Moveset, so you can imagine my joy at having my Pokésona be even more accurate :XD:

James - I fell in love with the Amaura-Aurorus line from the moment I saw it, and I like to name my Pokémon after my friends, pets, family, etc. since I make such an emotional tie to the little pixels (OTL), so because Amaura was one of my favourite new Kalos guys, I figured I'd name it after the friend who's been like another member to me and my family.

Mario - He represents my loveable knucklehead cockatiel who I hold dear in my heart. Every game I have I always name a flying type and/or bird after Mario, but because Mario reminds me most of a Staraptor, I chose a Staraptor.

Bastion and Mia - Bastion is the Dragonite, Mia's the Ampharos. Originally I based Bastion's design off of Iris' Dragonite and Mia off of the real-life Sky's little sister, but I found myself doodling a picture of Bastion and Mia one day and fell in love with the two of them as a brother or sister. I've been told that my friend and I (same from above) have a relationship identical to theirs; Bastion can be cold, distant, and overall aloof until Mia pops into the picture, in which case he becomes a LOT more soft-hearted and warm/kind. Though they were meant to be Sky's Pokémon, I always make sure to have a Dragonite and Ampharos in my team, and try to pair them together in double battles.

Riley - Riley is the new addition to my games. At first I was mutual on Sylveon, but warmed up to them considerably thanks to the adorably kiddish way a deviant drew them out to be. Initially I was going to give my Sylveon the same name as this deviant did, but decided not to in case I wanted to put Riley on Selena's team. As I already beat the X/Y game with Selena but not with Sky, Riley is currently on Skylar's game card, but I haven't decided if Riley would be on Sky's team either. As it currently is, I haven't technically assigned a gender to Riley. I initially decided male, but may choose to change it later to female if I keep Riley on Sky's team. Another option I've pondered is giving them both Riley, but with a slightly different move pool for the male Riley on Selena's team. Whatever I do, the male Riley I have on Sky's card right now I've fallen completely in love with, and I see him as the shy, puppy following mama/daddy around kind of character, so that's why he's here :XD:

And the badges...

Kalos Badges - Really lovin' the Kalos region right now :XD: The badge design is epic, especially Olympia and Wulfric's, and the gyms (again, especially Olympia's) are pretty dang cool, so that's why I chose this badge set.

As stated, this card was made on the website pokecharms. The badges and pkmn sprites are from there. However, that exact sprite for both versions of Luna were not. I recoloured the regular form to match the shiny colours of Luna (Garde) and for Luna I used the sprite I initially had, but coloured the aura encasing the Pokéballs different. It used to be blue, but I decided to change it to be white since it'd match her profile and my username, but the white doesn't show up on the moon so I used a silver gradient. Silver's my favourite colour anyway, along with blue, so it works out. :XD: Oh, I also removed the white backgrounds to show off the bokeh on the card since I loved the card design so much X3
